Michael Shermer is an American science writer, historian of science, and executive director of The Skeptics Society. He and I spoke about God, reason, science and the future, in a riveting discussion on a stage in Berlin, Germany in 2018. We explored the faulty link between moral behavior and religion, tracked the history of belief, and with some good humor and brutal honesty celebrated atheism and the value of science in inspiring more justice and freedom from superstition.
